Instinctively composed, the songs take their origins in a large variety of genres from post punk to noise rock and other more bizarre sounds. This is Sociophobia's second record on the label and the band from Ukraina confirms its wealth all along the 5 songs of this new EP, including a cover of the mythic Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart. Italy has always produced a good deathrock sound and The Mescaline Babies are here to prove it. This energetic and punchy deathrock band has all the necessary weapons in its hand to become a classic of the genre yet maybe more on the punk side than other "gothic" Italian bands. Coming from the South of France this one man studio projects oscillates between a moody synth-wave sound and a brilliant industrial rock that easily reminds us of Trent Reznor's NIN but not only.
